A simple lesson about persistence and determination

Audio version available:

Persistence

Being persistent in life will become a key component of your success. We have all heard lessons about persistence and how all successful people use it. This post is going to help you understand why it is important. We chose to teach this lesson because the common quality of nearly all successful people is the fact that they were persistent and determined in their pursuit of success.

There used to be a real estate agent once upon a time. The real estate who we will refer to as Carl wanted to be wealthy and successful, just like everyone else around him. Carl read the news a lot to keep himself informed about new opportunities. One day, he saw a post about a gold mine that had been found near his city.

Naturally, Carl did not want to miss the opportunity. So, he hopped into his car and started driving towards the area where the gold had been found. He rented machines to help him search the area for gold. After several days of hard work, nothing had been found. Unfortunately, the region he was in was extremely cold and living conditions were abysmal.

Despite wanting to be rich, Carl decided not to persevere and go home. After a few days, another man visited the region and looked for the gold. He found the gold 5 inches away from the region Carl was in. If he had been just a bit more persistent, he could have made it.
